What is MagnaTrack?
MagnaTrack is a retractable motorized outdoor screen system that uses patented self-tensioning magnetic side tracks. The design helps the screen stay tensioned while reducing the binding and hang-up issues common with rigid or zipper-style systems.
Can MagnaTrack be installed on an existing patio cover or pergola?
Yes, in many cases. Blue Sky installs MagnaTrack on existing patio covers and pergolas as well as new Blue Sky structures. We evaluate the opening, mounting surfaces and electrical requirements, then handle the project from quote through finished installation.
Will I still be able to see through the screen?
Visibility depends on the selected fabric and openness level. Some options prioritize outward views and airflow, while others provide greater shade or privacy.
Do the screens help protect patio furniture?
They can help reduce direct sun and UV exposure on furniture, cushions, counters and finishes. No exterior screen eliminates all exposure, but it can meaningfully reduce the daily punishment.
Can MagnaTrack handle Lake Havasu wind?
The system is engineered for demanding exterior conditions and its magnetic tracks are designed to respond to pressure. Exact performance depends on the opening size, fabric, mounting and selected system. Blue Sky will explain proper operation and when screens should be raised during severe weather.
Can I control the screens from my phone?
Blue Sky typically installs 4-amp low-voltage Somfy or Simu motors. With a Bond Bridge, compatible screens can connect to Wi-Fi and be operated through the Bond Home app, Alexa, Google Home and supported automation platforms.
How much do MagnaTrack screens cost?
Pricing depends on opening dimensions, number of screens, fabric, MagnaTrack color scheme, Somfy or Simu motor selection, Bond Bridge controls, mounting and electrical requirements. Blue Sky provides project-specific quotes rather than one-size-fits-all pricing.
What areas does Blue Sky serve?
Blue Sky actively installs MagnaTrack screens in Lake Havasu City and Parker. Bullhead City, Kingman, and Fort Mohave are temporarily paused for new bookings.
